Pink Facts
While breast cancer can affect anyone no matter their gender, race or age, there are some disparities. Though black women have a lower breast cancer incidence rate (3%) than white women, the mortality rate is 40% higher in black women than white women, according to Susan G. Komen. These disparities are attributed to socioeconomic factors, clinic health, access to care and information, and much more. To learn more and see how Komen is enacting change, click here.
Pink Highlight – 2020 Advocates
Bowl for the Cure would like to take a moment to thank all of those who volunteered, donated and ran fundraisers last year. It was a hard year for many, and still, we raised over $169,000 for the cause. Thank you for your generosity and commitment to ending breast cancer. Your support changes lives. From all of us at Bowl for the Cure and USBC, THANK YOU.
